To help it tap home automation, POS, networking and kiosk/POI markets, the PCM-6892 card packs, among other things, an energy-efficient VIA Ezra/Eden EBGA mobile CPU, Level 1 and 2 caches to accelerate computing performance, a PCMCIA socket, four USB ports, dual 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet controllers, and large-size display and audio support. With its embedded 3DNow! and MMX technology, the CPU is also suited for high-end multimedia applications. The compact, 5.25" board also comes with a VIA 8606 Twister T North Bridge integrated AGP 4X 2D/3D graphics accelerator. And with a 36-bit, dual-channel LVDS interface and TTL signals, the card can be used with CRTs and up to 36-bit TFT LCD panels. It also boasts of a CompactFlash socket, an Ultra DMA/100 Enhanced IDE controller supporting two devices with data transfer rates of up to 100 MB/s, and a keyboard/PS/2 mouse interface.
