Groomed for low-cost data-acquisition chores, the PCI-2500 and USB-2500 series boards provide multifunction performance with analog inputs, waveform-capable analog outputs, 24 digital I/O lines, four counter/quadrature inputs, and two timer outputs. The series comprises four PCI and four USB boards, the PCI-2511, PCI-2513, PCI-2515, and PCI-2517 and the USB-2523, USB-2527, USB-2533, and USB-2537. A 16-bit/1-MHz A/D converter on each board scans any sequence of channels at 1 µs per channel. Except for the PCI-2511 with a set analog input range of ± 10V, the boards provide seven programmable input ranges from ±100 mV to ±10V full scale. Four of the analog inputs on the USB boards are configurable as differential thermocouple inputs. Additionally, both series feature a low-latency control output mode, whereby any input- can control an output based on predefined limits. The outputs are controlled directly from the board and do not require PC intervention. Single-unit prices range from $549 to$1,199. MEASUREMENT COMPUTING CORP., Middleboro, MA. (508) 946-5100.
