With output accuracies to ±1 LSB, the QS009 10-bit and QS014 eight-bit R/2R ladder networks take up very little board real estate, as they reside in a QSOP package. Constructed of tantalum nitride on silicon, the resistive networks are said to be resistant to corrosion and reliability problems associated with standard nichrome resistor networks. And the unique properties of Tansil manufacturing are said to be responsible for the new networkÕs long-term stability under heavy loads and temperature extremes.Resistance values of 10 k½/20 k½ and 25 k½/50 k½ are available with absolute TCRs to ±25 ppm/¡C. Operating temperatures range from -55¡C to 125¡C and TCR tracking is to ±5 ppm/¡C. Both QS009 and QS014 ladder networks also provide absolute tolerances of ±2%. Typical pricing for both components is $0.75 each/50,000 with lead times of nine to 12 weeks. INTERNATIONAL RESISTIVE CO., Corpus Christi, TX. (361) 992-7900.
