The Model USB-DA12-8A USB-based data-acquisition and I/O module features eight independent 12-bit DACs and a configurable arbitrary waveform generator (ARB). Deployable in any PC or embedded system with a USB port, the module includes both single-ended and differential outputs, ARB status and control signals via external connections, and two DB-25 connectors. It is compatible with USB 2.0 ports and hot-plug functionality. Notable, the ARB relieves some of the load on the CPU by handling waveform generation at the hardware level via on-board memory and control logic. The module supports most operating systems and includes a free Linux and Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 software package. Including ARB function, enclosure, screw-terminal and power adapters, price for the USB-DA12-8A is $525. Without the ARB, price for the USB-DA12-8E is $349. ACCES I/O PRODUCTS INC., San Diego, CA.
