Designed for local or remote 32-bit, real-time processing, the DAP 840/103 data-acquisition (DAQ) board features over 100 built-in commands and a 14-bit resolution. It has onboard intelligence implemented with the company's 32-bit multitasking real-time operating system, called DAPL 2000, that runs with an onboard processor. Users can control the operating system from any Windows 95/98/NT/2000 PC or remotely on a network. Features include eight analog inputs, two analog outputs, eight digital inputs, and eight digital outputs. The board provides a14-bit a/d resolution for its analog inputs, and a12-bit d/a resolution for its analog outputs. Analog inputs sample at an overall rate of 800 ks/s and the digital input channels sample at an overall rate of 800 kwords/s. Other features include 8 MB of onboard memory for data buffers and DMA bus-mastering to transfer data to the PC from the onboard memory.
