Offering an automated solution to EMI/RFI shielding assembly by eliminating the need for hand soldering, SMiT Shield Clip can be placed anywhere on boards. Eliminating excess holes to save board real estate, the miniaturized surface-mount interconnect device has bottom and top entry areas and can be mounted on both sides of boards. The shield is snapped into place to create an electrical and mechanical interface between the shield and board. With four independent spring contacts, the clips allow shield removal and replacement when rework is required.
