Well-suited for high-density boards, SMAJ series of transient protection diodes provides over-voltage protection by use of a clamping action. Instantaneous response to transients make the devices well-suited to protect circuits such as CMOS and low-voltage ICs. TRANSIL family of diodes provide fail-safe protection by presenting a short-circuit if they are destroyed. The devices offer a peak pulse power of 400W with stand-off voltages from 5V to 188V. The family includes unidirectional and bidirectional devices.
