Poised for applications in the video and radar arenas, the ProWare PMC-440 employs an on-board FPGA that delivers up to 20 billion operations per second for FFT and digital filter DSP functions. The card can be configured with either of two Xilinx Virtex-II Pro FPGAs: the XC2VP20 or the XC2VP40. It can be used as a sensor interface for EO/IR video streams and still-camera images or as a data pre-processor for video filtering, region-of-interest extraction, and reformatting. Other features include a 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI interface with support for PCI-X, legacy-bus interface for C40 comm link, SHARC link, and other proprietary DSP interfaces, 30 front-panel LVDS/LVTTL ports, 48 LVDS/LVTTL ports via the Pn4 connector, 256 MB of DDR266 SDRAM, a temperature sensor, current sensor, and four indicator LEDs. I/O options include four front-panel RocketIO transceivers and four transceivers accessible via the Pn4 connector. Single-unit price starts at $4,250.
