Offered as a CompactPCI, dual PMC host board, the PP 310/01x supports a 1.6-GHz Pentium M processor and up to 2 GB of 200-MHz DDR ECC SDRAM. The board is said to boost I/O performance and lower power consumption by employing a ServerWorks GC-LE chipset. And its two 64-bit/66-MHz PMC sites feature front and rear I/O. The board also supports dual Gigabit Ethernet via a PCI-X bus, PICMG 2.16 packet switching backplanes, PICMG 2.9 (IPMI), and PICMG 2.1 hot swapping. The board can operate as a system controller, peripheral, or as a satellite (blade). Other features include 32 MB of application flash memory, 512 KB of battery-backed SRAM, an EIDE interface, Ethernet interfaces, and a range of standard I/O. For applications requiring rear I/O connections, a transition module is available. Operating system support includes VxWorks, Linux, Windows 2000/NT/XP Embedded, and QNX.
