Users of the N4W 1550 workstation have the flexibility of 10 backplane slots, allowing them to customize the system to meet the requirements of their applications. The workstation can be populated with a wide variety of CPU cards and backplanes. These include 7PCI/1 CPU/2 ISA slots, 4 PCI/1 CPU/5 ISA slots, 4 PCI/1 PISA/5 ISA slots, and 10 ISA slots. Each backplane provides seven full-length and three medium-length slots. A 15", 200 nit LCD is included and all display controls are located on the front panel. The workstation’s 59-key membrane keypad and touchpad can be supplemented with an analog resistive touchscreen, which will require one RS-232 port on the CPU card. Other standard features include a locking door on the lower front panel, CD-ROM drive, floppy drive, a USB port, and a PS/2 keyboard port.
