Connectors Support USB Standard

Oct. 1, 1998

Complying with the Universal Serial Bus specification, the PC1 Series A and Series B interface connectors are designed for use in multimedia devices such as computer mice or keyboards, other PC peripherals, consumer electronic devices and telecommunications equipment. The cable-side PC1 Series connectors are solder-terminated and are available separately or as fully assembled cables. The receptacle connectors have kinked terminals to prevent solder wicking. Type A receptacles are available in single or dual stacks. Board receptacle versions have multiple grounding for EMI/RFI shielding. Specifications include a current rating of 1A per contact, 750 vac dielectric withstanding voltage, 1000 Megaohms minimum insulation resistance, 30 milliohms maximum contact resistance, and operating temperature of -40°C to 60°C.
