Dec. 1, 1999

Four independent software-programmable channels are featured in the CP345, a 3U DMA-based CompactPCI serial controller. The board targets the industrial automation market with benefits such as rear I/O capability, optional optical isolation and an extended-temperature variant that operates from -25°C to 75°C (0°C to 60°C is standard). Each of the board’s four channels can be configured under software control to operate in RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 modes. Data rates are up to 10 Mbaud synchronous and 2 Mbaud asynchronous.
