A new series of subminiature pushbutton switches has a compact front panel design with black built-in bezels and is available in either 0.354" square or round options. Available in both illuminated and non-illuminated models, the HB series has a behind-panel depth of less than 1", and an industry standard round panel cutout of 8 mm. Rear panel threaded mounting achieves secure positioning. Rated at 0.1A maximum at 30V ac/dc, the HB series has solder lug terminals spaced at 0.100" x 0.200" for pc-board mounting. The longer, normally closed terminal facilitates wiring and soldering. Pushbutton reliability is ensured with dual, sliding contacts. These contacts are self-cleaning, achieving contact stability, high reliability and increased operating life. Mechanical life is rated at 100,000 operations minimum. Terminals are molded in to lock out flux, dust and other contaminants. The switch can be specified in single-pole double-throw, momentary, or maintained circuits. A latch-down feature in the maintained option gives indication of circuit status at a single glance. Audible and tactile feedback is said to have a very smooth and responsive operation. LED colors for the HB series come in bright for the range of red, amber and green; and super bright for the range of white, blue and green. NKK SWITCHES, Scottsdale, AZ. (480) 991-0942.
