Targeted at media server markets, the VB8002 Mini-ITX board brings the performance efficiency of the 1.6-GHz Nano processor to consumer-focused server products that demand both power efficiency and raw processing performance. Along with the Nano processor, the board includes the unified CX700M2 media system processor in the 17- by 17-cm Mini-ITX form factor. The result is excellent multimedia performance and a comprehensive feature set. To accommodate the wide range of today’s digital media applications, the board includes a digital HDTV encoder for high-definition video resolutions, the company’s Vinyl 7.1-channel HD audio capability, and numerous consumer I/O options. These include composite and component RCA ports, DVI and S-Video ports, S/PDIF audio, and on-board connectors for LVDS and TV out.
