Designed to meet the core needs of PC/104 applications, the SIO.104+2 interface adapter offers two RS-232/422/485 ports. Each port can be individually configured. The SIO.104+2 is based on the XR16C850 UART, which supports standard PC data rates and reaches a top speed of 460.8 kbits/s. The interface adapter provides a 128-byte FIFO, which is 16 times larger than boards designed with 16C550 parts. The device ships with the SeaCOM suite of Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP drivers. The WinSSD software application is also included for bit-error-rate testing, throughput monitoring, loopback tests, and transmit test-pattern messages. The SIO.104+2 is available in both standard and extended temperature range models. Available immediately from stock, it costs $169 each in low-volume quantities.
