Platform Exceeds Major Telecomm Carrier Requirements

Said to exceed the requirements of major telecommunications carriers for telecom-standard SPARC/Solaris technology, the Centellis CO 16543 is a NEBS level 3 platform in a 12U package. Providing high-density I/O, the platform provides 16 CompactPCI slots, 14 of which support the H.110 bus. Features include an UltraSPARC-IIi, 440-MHz processor-based single-board computer, from 256 Mb to 1 Gb of on-board memory, redundant N+1 hot swappable, 500W power supplies and fan trays, and a hot-swappable media bay supporting up to four 3.5" devices. I/O features include four serial ports, two Ultra2 SCSI interfaces, and three 10/100 Ethernet ports. An optional rear transition board is available with two PMC option slots. Prices start at $19,000.
