To rapidly develop software-defined radio applications without custom hardware, the latest members of the TS series software-defined radio development kits employ dual Altera Stratix EP1S80 FPGAs. For high-performance applications, the TS-DK-SDR1 includes a 6U, CompactPCI single-board computer with two commercial grade EP1S80 FPGAs, two PMC sites, the Wave FPGA software tool kit, and Altera's soft-core Nios processor SOPC Builder tool kit. It also provides Red River's Model 309 PMC flex receiver and a Model 919 analog signal generator mezzanine module. For a more complete environment, the TS-DK-SDR2 includes all of the TK-DK-SDR1's components and adds the company's CT8 Pentium III SBC and a 6U CPCI chassis. Prices for the TS-DK-SDR1 and TS-DK-SDR2 are $40,000 and $50,000 each, respectively. SBS TECHNOLOGIES INC., Albuquerque, NM. (505) 875-0600.
