A range of polypropylene film interference suppression capacitors offers case sizes that are some 30% smaller than similar types on the market, it's claimed. The MKP 338 Series capacitors allow capacitance values up to 330 nF to be kept within the 7.5-mm lead pitch limitation of low-cost automatic insertion equipment. As a result, the series greatly increases the range of Class X2 suppression capacitors that can be auto-inserted into pc boards. The caps are safe for use up to 105°C and meet major safety approvals. Values range from 1 nF to 3.3 µF, which are suitable for interference suppression in a wide range of equipment including switchmode power supplies, lighting ballasts, EMI line supply filters and appliances.
