DSP Board Is Supported By Application Specific PMC I/O

Oct. 1, 1998

Designed with two Analog Devices SHARC DSP processors, a PMC module site for I/O and a high-speed 32-bit PCI interface, the PCI/66-P2 SHARC board is well-suited for test, instrumentation and professional audio, and a variety of industry-standard PMC site applications. With firm's PMC/Q20DS module that has 4 input and output channels, each supported by an independent sigma-delta conversion circuit for reliable, phase-accurate conversion in both directions, the SHARC board fits well into high-resolution applications such as audio or seismic analysis. The DSP system is capable of processing phase information, as well as sample amplitudes. Along with firm's PMC/16101 multi-channel, high-precision analog I/O card, the PCI/66-P2 SHARC board creates high-performance DSP system well-suited for applications requiring 16 input channels where analog stimulus triggers acquisition of data at high rates. Applications of this combination are sonar and seismic equipment, noise and vibration analysis, and test and measurement systems.
