PMC Module Performs Four I/O Functions

July 1, 2002

With the objective of reducing card slots, the PMC730 I/O module combines four separate modules to perform analog input, analog output, digital I/O, and counter/timer functions. Analog input functions employ 16 differential or 32 single-ended input channels with four selectable bipolar ranges up to 10 Vdc. Eight ±10V channels, each with a 16-bit d/a converter, deliver analog output at 80.8 kHz with a settling time of 12.37 µs. Digital I/O chores are performed via 16 TTL transceivers with interrupt support and programmable debounce. In addition, an onboard 32-bit counter/timer can be used for a variety of applications. A standard module is priced at $1,600. An extended temperature version costs $1,700. ACROMAG, INC., Wixom, MI. (800) 881-0268.
