Parallel Digital I/O Board Offers High-Speed Transfers

March 1, 2000

The Model 6227 parallel digital I/O board makes use of the Velocity Interface Mezzanine (VIM) architecture. This high-performance mezzanine bus delivers extremely fast data transfers suitable for a wide range of processors and board formats. Two 6227 boards may be attached to one of the firm's quad 'C6x DSP processor boards, nesting in the same VMEbus slot. Or, the 6227 board may be combined with any other VIM-2 module to provide additional I/O functions. It features two high-speed parallel data ports plus a third status/control port. The two streaming data ports are 16-bit parallel data busses using single-ended TTL lines, one dedicated as an input and the other as an output. Prices start at $995 each.
