Color Displays Use Less Power Than LCDs

Claiming to use significantly less power than conventional LCDs, these reflective color display modules use power only when an image is displayed. Once the image is displayed, no power is required to keep the image visible for days, months, or even years. Other benefits claimed for the new color displays are a high contrast and a wide viewing angle. And images can be easily read, even in direct sunlight.
Available with a 6.25" diagonal screen in a 640 x 480 VGA format with a 127 dpi resolution, the color displays have an on-board controller and parallel interface. They are rated for operation over a temperature range of from -20°C to +65°C.
