The PowerCore CPCI-690 PowerPC 750FX processor-based single-board computer (SBC) offers a core frequency starting at 700 MHz. As a fully PICMG 2.16-compliant "universal" board capable of system- or peripheral-slot functionality, it provides a suitable CompactPCI packet-switching backplane (cPSB). The system includes the company's Sentinel PCI-to-PCI bridge for universal slot capability and triple 10/100 Ethernet interfaces--one on the front panel and two on the backplane. It comes with up to 2 Gbytes of SDRAM, up to 64 Mbytes of user flash memory, and 512 kbytes of internal L2 cache memory. With a 133-MHz front-side bus, the CPCI-690 also features dual 64-bit, 66-MHz PMC slots and full hot-swap support. In OEM quantities, this SBC starts at $3300.
