Embedded: DSP Board Swims With Eight 600-MHz TigerSharcs

The T2-6U-cPCI, a 6U CompactPCI board, comes filled with eight of Analog Devices' TigerSharc ADSP-TS201 processors. Using the ATLANTiS (Advanced Transfer Link Architecture for New TigerSHARC) architecture, it tightly integrates the DSPs, PCI bridge, PMC interface, and I/O peripherals with the on-board FPGA. There are two PMC sites: a 64-bit, 66-MHz CompactPCI interface and two Xilinx Virtex-II Pro FPGAs. Onboard memory includes 512 Mbytes of SDRAM and 8 Mbytes of flash. The T2-6U-cPCI costs $15,995.

I earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
