Display Controller Suits VME-Based CAT System

Flexibility for generating combined graphics, radar and video displays is provided by the Tiger ultra-high-resolution display controller. When used with the firm's 6U VME double Eurocard C.A.T. processor board, the card finds application in command and control consoles, radar head monitors, air traffic control and medical imaging. The board incorporates a total of five, 4-Mbyte frame stores which can be configured to provide single- or double-buffered overlays and underlays, radar image with variable transparency, and monochrome or true color video displays. The 20-Mbyte screen memory is configured as four, 8-bit framestores, one of which is double buffered, for resolutions of as high as 2048 x 2048 pixels.
