Capable of accurately predicting the performance of high-speed systems in optical networks, gigabit computers, and communication backplanes, DesignerSI design environment combines Nexxim, HFSS, and Q3D Extractor into a complete system-level, signal-integrity tool for IC, package, and board co-design and verification. The application includes a design capture interface via schematic or netlist, optimization and tuning, post-processing, and system-level simulation for signal-integrity metrics that include TDR, BER, and eye diagrams. Current features include a project manager, component libraries, message manager, schematic editor, frequency- and time-domain system simulator, optimetrics, library of behavioral and electrical models, IBIS model support, SPICE netlist import wizard, HSpice compatibility, and W-element and S-parameter support. Operating system compatibility includes Windows 2000/XP, Sun Solaris, and Linux. ANSOFT CORP., Pittsburgh, PA. (412) 261-3200.
