Enlarging the EZ-USB LP family, the EZ-USB HX2LP USB 2.0 hub controller is optimized for cost-sensitive applications including standalone hubs, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and motherboards. The device is USB-IF and Windows Hardware-quality lab (WHQL)-compliant and is available in four-port (CY7C65630-56LFXC) and two-port (CY7C65620-56LFXC) versions. It integrates a plethora of passive components including pull-up and pull-down resistors plus a gang-port-power control. Additionally, the controller supports both bus-powered and self-powered modes and is available in a 56-pin QFN package that is backward compatible with the company's TetraHub controller.
