Bifurcated Pin Mates With Wide Range Of Receptacles

April 1, 2001

The P/N 7310, bifurcated pin has a 0.040" diameter to mate with a wide range of receptacles. The pin mounts on the edge of a pc board with the pin parallel to the board. The square section presses into a hole near the edge of the board and remains secure prior to wave or reflow soldering. Bifurcated pins such as the P/N 7310 are used in groups of 3 or 5 on the edge of a filter card used in CATV distribution amps. The pin’s rugged design is suited for field installation over the 20-year life of the equipment.
