Addressing the EMC containment challenges associated with the higher frequencies generated by high-speed processors, the Type 4F industrial PC (IPC) enclosures contain EMC dynamically. They can attenuate frequencies up to 30 dB and employ patented EMC spring clips that are said to be more reliable than standard gaskets; special combinations of spring clips, contact springs, and honeycomb gasketing are also available. The enclosures fit in 19" racks and measure 4U high and 445 mm deep. The housing supports ATX and AT motherboards with up to 14 slots, with 8-, 10- and 12-slot versions also available. Additionally, users can install up to three CD ROM drives, a floppy-disk drive, and up to three hard-disk drives. Power supply options include 250W, 300W, 350W, or 2 x 300W redundant supplies.
