Reporting the Industry’s lowest differential capacitance, the TPD8S009 provides system-level ESD protection for eight high-speed differential lines for HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. The device’s flow-through, single-inline pin mapping optimizes board layout and also lowers susceptibility to EMI. Additionally, a unique architecture allows designers to add or remove the device without redesigning the system. Differential capacitance is less than 0.05 pF and line capacitance is 0.8 pF. Housed in a 6.5 mm x 2.5 mm SON-15 package, other features include IEC 61000-4-2 (Level 4) system level ESD compliance, an industrial operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, and a 2.5A peak pulse current (8/20 µs pulse). Free samples are available and quantity pricing is $0.61 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
