Providing low-capacitance circuit protection for telecom and security equipment, the company’s latest surface-mount gas discharge tubes (GDTs) keep a low profile in space-limited designs. Compliant with industry standards including GR-1089 Core, ITU K.20/K.21, and TIA, the GDTs are available in both two- and three-electrode versions. Key specs include voltage ranges from 75V to 600V, capacitance values as low as 0.5 pF, and sizes ranging from 3 mm to 8 mm. In the event of an overvoltage surge, the GDTs switch to a low impedance state and divert energy away from the equipment. Prices range from $0.13 to $0.30 each/100,000.
