Designed to enhance the testing and development of AGP bus boards, the AGP Electronic Extender boasts of: high-speed CMOS switches for isolating bus signals and minimizing propagation delays; an onboard breadboarding area that supports use of custom circuitry; and the ability to test cards at various voltages by connecting external power to the top connector. In addition, the extender permits AGP card manufacturers to insert and remove tested cards with the PC power on, as well as allowing optional pin headers to be located below the top connector to facilitate the connection of logic analyzers. It also features an over-current sensing circuit that safeguards PC power lines by automatically disconnecting cards when an over-current condition is detected.
