Headed for ultrasound designs, the HV738 and the HV748 high-voltage, high-speed, 4-channel ultrasound pulser ICs combine logic control circuitry, level translators, and MOSFET gate-drive buffers in compact, 48-lead QFN packages. Both devices integrate output drain bleed resistors for noise reduction and operate at frequencies up to 20 MHz with matched delay times. The HV738 delivers outputs up to ±65V and ±750 mA source and sink current, each in pulsed-wave mode. The HV748 provides outputs to ±75V and ±1.25A source and sink, also in pulsed-wave mode. Additionally, both employ a direct coupling topology to facilitate board layout. Prices for the HV738 and HV748 are $10.80 and $11.20 each/1,000, respectively. SUPERTEX INC., Sunnyvale, CA.
