The P44W is a dc/ac inverter designed to power automotive LCDs such as those used in GPS and entertainment systems. The inverter has a starting voltage of 3 kVRMS and up to 9 mA boost current. It outputs up to 15W and is said to perform reliably over a temperature range from -30°C to +85°C. Fully vacuum-encapsulated, the rugged component is also well suited for powering high-pressure mercury and phosphor lamps used to backlight LCDs. Other features include on-board PWM dimming with external analog control. Price is $19.73 each/1,000 with a delivery time of four weeks ARO.
