A new process sealed SMT rocker switch permits right angle mounting along the edges of circuit boards. The 400B rocker switch?s actuator is designed to project beyond the circuit board far enough to be accessible through an enclosure or instrument case slot. Claiming an electrical life of 6,000 cycles, the 400B rocker touts a mechanical life of 50,000 cycles. Five different options for the three rocker positions cover a broad range of functional applications. Options include: ON-None-ON; ON-None-MOM; ON-OFF-ON; MOM-OFF-MOM; and ON-OFF-MOM. The 400B switch comes with either silver-or gold-plated contacts. Silver contacts are rated 3A at 120 Vac or 1A at 28 Vdc. Gold contacts are rated at 0.4 VA at 20 Vac or dc. Initial contact resistance is a maximum of 0.02?. Switch dimensions measure 5.70 mm x 8.25 mm x 19.27 mm. Operating temperature ranges from 30°C to +85°C, and dielectric strength is 1,000 Vac.
