Fabricated onto one chip in a 160-pin TQFP, OX16PCI954 is a quad UART and PCI bridge that halves the typical cost of silicon on a typical PCI-based serial and parallel expansion card. The device also reduces engineering complexity, saves board space, and boosts system performance. Throughput is up to 15 Mbps per channel in asynchronous mode and up to 60 Mbps in isochronous mode with external clock.
