Introduced as fully customizable and secure 32-bit, 802.11b wireless embedded modules, the Digi Connect Wi-ME and Wi-EM modules are based on the company’s 32-bit NET+ARM processor technology. Customizable via the NET+Works development platform, the devices are suitable for use in a variety of products including access control and point-of-sale systems, RFID readers, medical devices, and industrial automation systems. In addition to FCC approval, the modules include security features such as WEP/WPA compliant software encryption and authentication. Pin-compatible with their wired counterparts, the Wi-ME is offered in an enclosed RJ-45 form factor and the Wi-EM is available in an embedded board form factor.
