IC Generates Up To Seven Independent Clocks

Oct. 8, 2008
Pletronics' FD7 series of multiple-frequency clock generators deliver up to seven independent CMOS outputs from a 5- by 7-mm LCC ceramic package.

The FD7 series multiple-frequency clock generators deliver up to seven independent CMOS outputs from a 5- by 7-mm LCC ceramic package. The clocks range from 10 kHz to 230 MHz, with available outputs including 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V LVCMOS. The devices are either factory or field programmable, with selectable low-jitter or spread-spectrum outputs of three, four, five, or seven frequencies. At prices of $3.00 to $5.00, the FD7 clock generators cost considerably less than the use of multiple crystals and oscillators, and they also save board space and manufacturing costs. The company will provide a suggested FD7 version based on a customer’s completed product definition page and block diagram, which is available on the web site. PLETRONICS INC., Lynnwood, MA.
