Edge Mount PCB Receptacles Save Precious Board Space

Sept. 1, 2001

Designed to preserve pc-board real estate, the microminiature MMCX edge-mount, PCB receptacles mount with their mating end flush with the edge of the board, allowing boards to be connected in close proximity. Features include gold-plated bodies, a frequency range from dc to 6 GHz, and low RF leakage through a rated service life of 500 mating cycles. Connector pairs can be rotated after mating for repositioning of connected components, making them suitable for PCMCIA antenna applications.
