With the intention of simplifying repetitive motion chores, the D404 stepper drive pairs constant-current, bi-polar chopping with on-board programmability to drive and control hybrid stepper motor applications. The motor accepts a 40 Vdc input and handles an output current up to 4A per phase. It can be configured for full-step, half-step, quarter-step, and eighth-step resolutions. Features include 13 inputs that include two configurable I/O ports and a jumper that converts all inputs to accept PLC logic levels. Programming is via an easy to use language that allows users to create and store motion profiles including acceleration, deceleration, hold-and-run current, position target, and slew velocity. Other commands respond to input signals from the external system and drive secondary devices, such as relays or solenoids. For further information, contact Karen Russo at EADMOTORS, Dover, NH.
