Connector Designed For IGBT Power Modules

Feb. 1, 2001

A new connector and cable assembly has been designed specifically for attaching to the spade terminals on IGBT power modules. Both the connector and cable assembly connect the IGBT directly to a printed circuit board. Suitable for two, 2.8 mm x 0.5 mm fast-on tabs, the connectors are made with integrated locking clips built in. Three grid spacings for the fast-on tabs are available: 4.0 mm, 4.7 mm, and 6.0 mm. Wires sizes are 20 AWG stranded and rated for 250V. Color-coded red, black, gray, and white, the wires are separated by a spacer and terminated in a 4-pin board-mount connector. Standard wire length is 56 mm. Pricing for the connector-cable assembly starts at $6 per unit.
