At just 1.8 by 3.8 by 2 mm, the LR MOSFET relays enable board-size reduction of 40% to 60% compared to electromechanical types. Their 1-form-A configuration provides low power consumption at a 5-mA LED trigger current. Versatility is achieved with the relays' ac-dc switching capability. For better board protection, I/O isolation measures 1.5 kV ac. In addition to their small size, the LR relays offer excellent on-resistance between 1 and 5 ‡. They suit use in automated test equipment (ATE), RF applications, and IT applications, including Internet-protocol routers, DSLAM equipment, data storage devices, edge routers, and local-area networks (LANs). The LR relays cost $2.75 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
