Motorola's MPC852T PowerQUICC I processor gets a nod from the MQX operating system and matching TCP/IP stack. The Metrowerks MPC852 Evaluation System lets developers get a quick start with the MPC852T using Metrowerks' CodeWarrior Development Studio. The kit's evaluation board includes 10/100BaseT Ethernet, a console and timer, and on-chip flash peripherals. The MQX real-time operating system (RTOS) starts at $12,500. The RTCS TCP/IP networking stack is available for $16,500.
