The new NI PXI-1409 multichannel monochrome image acquisition board is designed to deliver increased accuracy and resolution in vision system applications. Resolution is user-configurable for either 8-bit (256 grayscale) or 10-bit (1,024 grayscale) acquisition. Since the board is compatible with analog double-speed progressive scan cameras at speeds of up to 60 frames per second, the company says users can perform inspections with increased speed and reliability. Four video inputs are available for connecting multiple cameras. Hardware calibration is said to ensure consistent and repeatable image acquisition. Pricing starts at $1,395.
