Vicor’s Bus Converter Hoists Power Density Bar

May 3, 2007
Designed for high-voltage distribution systems, the B384F120T30 bus converter exhibits a power density in excess of 1 kW/in.3 and an efficiency of greater than 95%. In a package measuring 1.28" x 0.87" x 0.26", it delivers a nominal 12V

Designed for high-voltage distribution systems, the B384F120T30 bus converter exhibits a power density in excess of 1 kW/in.3 and an efficiency of greater than 95%. In a package measuring 1.28" x 0.87" x 0.26", it delivers a nominal 12V output that can be paralleled for high current outputs or connected in series to create a 48V bus. The converter also provides flexible thermal management through its low junction-to-case and junction-to-board thermal resistance. Additionally, low impedance enables POL capacitance minimization or elimination. Price is $37.50 each in OEM quantities. VICOR CORP., Andover, MA. (800) 735-6200.
