For use with the company's NI 4551 and 4552 dynamic-signal acquisition boards, the NI Sound Power System combines software and hardware into what is said to be a flexible, affordable computer-based system for measuring noise emissions. A basic version ships pre-configured to work with multiplexers, microphones and other acoustic equipment and includes LabVIEW executables for acoustic measurements. Interfacing with a multiplexer may require the purchase of the company's PCI-GPIB computer board. In addition, the system generates files that users can export to Excel and other files that contain configuration and calibration data. Price for Sound Power Developer is $9,995 and Sound Power User is $7,495.
