Passive Backplane Card Supports 450-MHz Speeds

Based on PCIMG's standard for PCI in passive backplanes and using Intel's latest 440BX chipset, the MantaRay Pentium II passive backplane CPU board supports processor speeds of up to 450 MHz with a 100-MHz external clock and up to 333 MHz with a 66-MHz clock. On-board options include 10- and 100-BaseT Ethernet, SCSI supporting speeds up to Ultra 2, and video circuitry supporting resolutions to 1280 x 1024 at 256 colors. Four 168-pin DIMM sockets can hold up to 1 GB of SDRAM.Targeted at unified messaging, medical imaging, machine control, and other high-performance systems, the highly integrated card also features two RS-232-compatible serial ports, an ECP/EPP parallel port, a USB, and a controller supporting up to two floppy drives.
