D-Submini Connectors Meet PC99 Design Guidelines

Aug. 1, 1999

The firm’s line of PC99 D-subminiature connectors meets the Design System Guidelines for color coding of PC systems and components. Among the connectors currently available are a 15-pin, high-density analog VGA port in blue; a 15-pinMIDI/game port in gold; a 25-pin parallel port in burgundy; and a 9-pin serial port in turquoise. Also available is a multiport D-subminiature connector, which combines three of the color-coded ports. Stamped socket pins are of phosphor bronze for superior contact retention and bodies are of PBT thermoplastic. Mounting options include riveted threaded inserts, 4-40 hex, jack screws and board locks.
