EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. – Achieving what was thought to be a near-impossible feat, the CoreModule 800 PCI-104 single-board computer breaks the 1-GHz barrier by supporting a 1-GHz Celeron M processor while maintaining the PCI-104 form factor and standards. The board packs a complete CPU subsystem with I/O, PCI-104 bus expansion, and network interfaces without violating the required 90 mm x 96 mm board outline. The processor operates in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C without a CPU cooling fan on a 0.12" thick PCB with optional conformal coating. Board features include support for up to 1 GB of DDR 333 RAM, two RS-232/422/485 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, Intel 82541 Gigabit Ethernet, integrated graphics with LVDS LCD support, IDE, a shared parallel/floppy port, PS/2 keyboard and mouse interface, and an AMI BIOS. Price ranges up to $1,000+ in production quantities. AMPRO COMPUTERS INC., San Jose, CA. (800) 966-5200.
