EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. – RoHS compliant, the SBC1496 StackableUSB single board computer provides I/O expansion via StackableUSB peripherals. In addition to PC-compatible features, i.e., SVGA and dual serial ports, the SBC includes four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 1.1 ports, and 100 Base-T Ethernet. It supports up to 64 MB of SDRAM and compact flash memory and can boot DOS, Linux, Windows CE, VxWorks, and other PC-compatible operating systems. The SBC1496 enlists a STPC Atlas processor operating at speeds up to 133 MHz. For I/O expansion, the StackableUSB interconnect architecture enables control of up to five peripherals in a bolt-together platform. A development kit that includes cables, sample software, and documentation is also available.
